Without Mary’s free acceptance of her calling from God we would not have Jesus in human flesh. Also, the fact that Scripture refers to her in such a special way is good enough reason to talk about her. On Saturday, April 11, the Vigil of the Feast of Divine Mercy, Pope Francis promulgated the papal document that officially declared the extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy. Set to run from Dec. 8, 2015, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, to Nov. 20, 2016, the Solemnity of Christ the King, it'll be a time of great grace.
